English 222: Technical Writing — Assignment: Definitions of Major

1. Type up a formal definition of your major.
2. Ask 2 other students  (or professors) in your major (who are NOT taking this course) for their definitions and add that to your Definitions Assignment. List the names of the people you ask for definitions.
3. Locate an official written definition of your major (in a textbook, in the IUP catalog, on your department web site, on a web site at another university, etc.) and copy this definition onto your Definitions Assignment as well.
