Subject: 322 Task: Assistant Recruitment Coordinator Application Letter Critiques

Body of the Message:

(Copy the questions below into your email message. Type your answers after each question. Then send your completed eJournal to Dr. Pagnucci. Write answers that are as complete as possible. Note also that grammar and spelling will not be counted for eJournals, so just do your best.)

Group Members’ Full Names (include each person’s full name at the top of the email so I can give you credit for your work)

Answer the questions below for each letter you critique:

  1. List the applicant’s name.
  2. Using a 10 point scale where 1 = poor and 10 = excellent, how would you rate the overall effectiveness of this letter? Why do you feel the letter merits this overall rating?
  3. After reading several letters, do a general comparison of all the letters. Of all the candidates you reviewed, which candidate seems to be the best qualified for the Assistant Recruitment Coordinator position? Why? (Rule out your own letter–I don’t want you to have to rate yourself as only second best cause, well, that’s a pain!)
