Curiosity, Openness, Engagement, Creativity, Persistence, Responsibility, Flexibility, and Metacognition allow for students to approach learning from an active stance with the goal of demonstrating how these habits transfer to other fields.

Students should be engaged in the writing process regardless of the field they specialize in to allow for them to write to learn so that they can reflect on what they are learning and make connections to it beyond the classroom.
