In the classroom, students should be asked to explore their belief systems and to think about how they respond to differences and why, and met with tolerance and acceptance.
The Mind Stone: 8 Habits of Mind
Curiosity, Openness, Engagement, Creativity, Persistence, Responsibility, Flexibility, and Metacognition allow for students to approach learning from an active stance with the goal of demonstrating how these habits transfer to other fields.
The Reality Stone: Writing Across the Curriculum
Students should be engaged in the writing process regardless of the field they specialize in to allow for them to write to learn so that they can reflect on what they are learning and make connections to it beyond the classroom.

Students should think about how they got to where they are, what they are doing, why it matters, and if it is the best course of action.
