Task Overview
Write a story where you talk about an experience that involves creativity. Here are a few possibilities
- You could write about going to a place like the Mattress Factory where works of art/creativity are on display
- You could write about doing something creative such as learning to paint or dance or sing or write
- You could write about watching someone else create something, such as watching a glassblower at work or a sketch artist working in a park
- You could make up a story, a la Big Fish, to set your creative side free in writing
- You can write about anything else that you feel helps you explore the concept of creativity
In your story, try to say something about the nature of creativity as you understand it. You might talk about why creativity is important to you, what you think makes a person creative, and/or the role of creativity in society.
Task Guidelines
Your story should be around 3-5 pages long depending on the kind of story you are trying to tell.
Make enough copies of your story to share with the class.
