Task: Blog Entry
Blog Entry Overview
For this task, we’ll be making a new blog post. As best you can, please write about the topics in this new blog entry. If your writing takes you somewhere else and you leave these questions behind, that’s ok too. Just try to capture some of your current thinking in your blog as you write. Remember, your blog doesn’t have to be perfect.
Blog Subject: Experiences with Technology
Make a blog entry focusing on these issues:
- Lets begin with a few stories about yourself as a user of technology. I want you to describe several significant life experiences you’ve had with technology:
- in school
- at work
- in your personal life
- Since your blog is public, be sure to pick experiences to write about which you are comfortable sharing with others
- Spend about 5 minutes writing about an experience in each of the above categories for a total of 20 minutes. As you write, try to focus on:
- describing what the technology in the experience was
- how you used the technology
- what you learned about the technology
- what you thought about the technology at the time
- how this experience changed/impacted you
- Remember that computers are not the only technology humans have ever invented. For many kids, bicycles are the greatest technology on earth. Television is a pretty widely loved (and hated) technology as well. And there are more…
