Required Selected Novels
Individually Chosen Novel
- You will be required to read a novel (work of fiction) of your own selection for this course. You can purchase this book from a new or used book store or borrow it from a library or friend.
- You must read a book you have NOT read before. The book must be a novel work of fiction, at least 150 pages in length, not assigned for another course, and not a book commonly read in grades 1-12 (such as Huckleberry Finn).
- Your book selection must be approved by the instructor. More information about making your book selection will be given in class.
Book Club Novel
- In a group of 3-4 people, you will be required to read a novel (work of fiction) as a group. You can purchase this book from a new or used book store or borrow it from a library or friend.

Course Costs
- Computer Equipment–Students must pay for software, disks, and other necessary computer supplies
- Books–Students may need to purchase the books they choose to read for the course
