Reading & Book Selection Unit Overview
The goal of this unit is to help you to tap into your built-in love of reading (which, sadly, has often been stolen from you by boring teachers). Becoming a strong reader builds your ability to savor and use language which improves your writing abilities. In short, it helps turn you into a mental giant rather than a 98 pound weakling who gets copies of Byron kicked in your face at the beach (paraphrased from Professor John Keating in Dead Poets Society).
