Creating Directions for Drawing an Object
This task will help you improve your instructional writing skills. Please do the following:
- Think of a fairly simple object. Do not tell anyone what object you have chosen.
- Write a set of directions for drawing this object.
- Make sure it takes at least 8 steps to complete your directions. If it takes less than 8 steps, you have chosen an object which is too simple (in that case, go back to step 1 and start again).
- Do not include any diagrams with your object.
- Do not label your object with its name. We want people to figure out what the object is.
- Once you’ve written up your directions, add one more item to the page. Below your instructions, create a simple table that looks like this:
| Yes | No | |
| Could you draw the item? (place an X in the appropriate box) |
