Creating Directions for Drawing an Object

This task will help you improve your instructional writing skills. Please do the following:

  1. Think of a fairly simple object. Do not tell anyone what object you have chosen.
  2. Write a set of directions for drawing this object.
  3. Make sure it takes at least 8 steps to complete your directions. If it takes less than 8 steps, you have chosen an object which is too simple (in that case, go back to step 1 and start again).
  4. Do not include any diagrams with your object.
  5. Do not label your object with its name. We want people to figure out what the object is.
  6. Once you’ve written up your directions, add one more item to the page. Below your instructions, create a simple table that looks like this:
