eJournals & Freewriting

What is “Freewriting”?
Freewriting is way to get your ideas out on the screen where we can use them. It’s also a method for helping you to think. In this class, we’ll do our freewriting electronically. I call these eJournals. eJournals are meant to be electronic renditions of your thoughts and ideas.

Freewriting Rules

  • Don’t stop
  • Don’t worry about grammar or spelling
  • Jump from idea to idea
  • Enjoy the unexpected
  • KEEP WRITING

  1. Write about your earliest memory related to comic books and comic book characters. What do you remember? Was this something you read/saw? How old were you? Try to recall what it was like to be you at that time.
  2. Certainly reading comics (or having some sort of exposure to them) would likely have made you think about what sort of super powers you would want if you could have some. What powers did you want as a kid? Why? Did that thinking change over time? Why?
