1. What things do you carry with you into a research project? How are these things important in shaping you as a researcher?

2. What should be the goal of research in general? What should be the goal of narrative research in particular?

3. What is truth? To what extent, if any, should researchers seek after truth?

4. How can we use fiction to report research? Does fiction have any place/purpose in research?

5. What are the rules of storytelling? We’ve discussed this topic before, so how does your reading of O’Brien add to or change your earlier thinking?
